Who we are
For two decades we drew monsters, wrote impossible worlds, and shipped them under other names. Unknown Creature is the banner we finally raise as our own — a studio for original games, characters, and stories that honor where we come from.
Our reason to exist
Worlds, creatures, and stories born entirely in-house — our first original title is in production now.
Serious play
We turn complex knowledge into experiences students actually want to play — currently building edugames for universities across Bolivia and Belgium.
Two decades of comics, character design, and narrative across Mexico, the US, and Europe.
Hand-crafted motion and illustration that finally gives the unknown a face.
Full-stack systems, AI, and the production tech that keeps the studio shipping.
The studio
Five Yucatecans, one studio, two countries. We honor our roots while building for a global audience.
Our story traces back to My Pet Stone, one of the earliest graphic design and illustration studios in Mérida — where most of us first met and learned the craft.
Benjamín Carbonero dreams up Unknown Creature — a concept and a creature that would eventually pull the whole team under one banner.
Unknown Creature Games is formally founded in Mérida, Yucatán, with a business center in Houston, Texas leading international operations.
We embark on our first original game — the first time we share all of our creative talent with the world under our own name.
